Rachel Bade-McMurphy Quartet

Most Commonly booked as a quartet, Vocalist/Saxophonist Rachel Bade-McMurphy and trumpet player/drummer Brendan McMurphy are joined by a local pianist and bassist to perform an eclectic mix of Traditional Jazz, Nu-Jazz, Contemporary-Jazz-Pop-Fusion, original compositions rooted in progressive instrumental post-bop, spoken word and urban grooves. This format is easily adaptable as sophisticated background music for a winery, wedding or private events or as high-energy main stage entertainment.  For weddings and private events, our clients have their choice between the following set distinctions: 1: Classic - a more traditional mix of material focused on straight-ahead jazz, classic pop, Latin jazz, ballads and more 2. Modern - a more contemporary mix including modern jazz, original compositions, nu-jazz, contemporary-jazz-pop fusion, progressive instrumental post-bop, spoken word and urban grooves.  Within these classifications, our clients can also choose the level of intensity (background vs main entertainment).  Upon request, we can learn most any song and arrange it for our format.  Perfect for your first dance or Father-daughter dance.  We can also write a song specifically for your event.  Our rates depend on the length of the event, travel accommodations as well as special request & circumstances.  Please call or email for a quote.

RBMC Groove Project
	Heavily influenced by R&B, Funk, Hip-Hop, Motown, and Urban Grooves this five or six piece format is high energy and artistic, bringing jazz to the dance club and night club settings with a variety of original compositions, improvised grooves and spoken word pieces.
